Lead, Reviews (MLL ELA)
Margaret Overbagh-Feld is a Lead in Multilingual Learners (MLL) at EdReports. Margaret has worked in education for more than fifteen years, primarily teaching English as a Second Language and English Language Arts in New York City Public Schools, and consulting and coaching in both NYC and Pittsburgh, PA. Most recently, she was the 6–12 ESL Instructional Specialist for Pittsburgh Public Schools, leading principals, and teachers in implementing instructional best practices for English Learners. Margaret’s career in education started somewhat unexpectedly when, as a Peace Corps Volunteer in a village in Ukraine, she fell in love with teaching English and knew that’s what she wanted to do with the rest of her life. Margaret has a B.A. in Public Policy and English Literature from The College of William and Mary in Virginia and a Masters in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from NYU. She is a native of the D.C. suburbs, a mother to two small children whose language acquisition never ceases to amaze her, and a voracious reader.
